I Become the Pearl of the Family After Our Marriage - Aylin

This was at the Kew family's residence. There might still be people around. Aylin realized this and was about to push Joaquin away when he lifted his head first.

A brief kiss left Aylin's face flushed red. "You..."

"If you feel at a loss, you can kiss me back," Joaquin said with a serious expression on his face.

Aylin was so angry she laughed, "Mr. Beckham, you really are a businessman, never losing out."

Joaquin replied, "Thank you for the compliment."

Aylin snorted and turned to leave.

Watching the two flirt and even kiss in her own house's garden, Clare could barely contain her anger.

"Don't play tricks on Aylin, or you won't be able to bear the consequences." Frederick's warning voice suddenly rang out.

Clare clenched her fingers, struggling to calm down. She turned to him. "Frederick, even though I'm not your biological sister, we've lived together for over twenty years. Do you have to treat me like this? I didn't do it. Though I hate that doctor who brought me nightmares half a year ago, telling me I wasn't a Kew, I never thought of harming her. That car accident was literally an accident."

Frederick sneered coldly and walked away without looking back.

Clare glared at his back with hatred in her eyes for the first time.

She hated Frederick's change, and she hated that he didn't help her get Joaquin and even helped that worthless woman!

Fortunately, her grandpa, parents, and big brother were still on her side and loved her. She still had leverage.

However, this was based on their biological daughter not being found yet. If they found the real daughter of the Kew family, would they still treat her so well?

Clare wanted to secretly stop it but was afraid of being discovered by her family, especially by Frederick. She dared not act rashly and could only pray that woman would never come back, or better yet, was already dead.

That way, she would always be the only daughter of the Kew family.

Rosewood Point.

Aylin got out of the car and quickly walked towards the villa.

By the time Joaquin entered the living room, the large house no longer had any trace of the woman, as if she were a hiding kitten again.

Gary couldn't help but laugh, "Madam has quite a temper. It's rare for someone to dare treat you like this, Mr. Beckham."

Joaquin's cold gaze shot over.

Gary immediately lowered his head. "I misspoke."

Aylin stayed in her room alone, still angry. She wasn't mad at Joaquin for suddenly kissing her. She was mad because she couldn't forget that feeling.

His cool aura and slightly cold lips made her heart race.

She couldn't go on like this. She took a deep breath and opened her computer to distract herself.

After a while, someone knocked on the door.

Aylin looked towards the door. "Who is it?"

"It's me," came Joaquin's voice.

Aylin didn't immediately get up to open the door but asked, "What's up?"

"Open the door."

After a moment's hesitation, Aylin got up and opened the door.

"Still angry?" Joaquin asked softly.

Aylin coughed lightly. "No, I'm busy."

"It's already noon. Aren't you hungry?"

Hearing this, Aylin glanced at the clock on the wall. It was indeed lunchtime.

"Lunch is ready. Come down to eat."

Looking at him made Aylin suddenly feel irritated and restless for some inexplicable reason.

In the end, she shut off her computer and went downstairs to eat.

No matter what happened, she couldn't neglect her own health. She still needed to eat.

Monday arrived.

Joaquin had business near the University of Faypine and offered to drop Aylin off at school.

Aylin didn't let him take her all the way to the campus but got off about 200 meters away and walked alone from there.

Joaquin sat in the car, watching her until she disappeared completely before instructing Gary to drive away.

Sometimes, the more you wanted to avoid someone, the more likely you were to run into them, just like now...

Aylin intended to buy a cup of coffee for a pick-me-up but ran into Carmen and her cronies instead.

"What bad luck!" Carmen sneered coldly.

Aylin didn't hold back. She turned around and said, "If you think it's bad luck, you can get out!"

Carmen flew into a rage. "Who do you think you are? What right do you have to tell me to get out?"

The store clerk looked awkwardly between them before finally speaking up, "Hello, that'll be $26."

Aylin took out her bank card to pay, but it failed due to insufficient balance!

The clerk cleared his throat awkwardly. "It seems your balance is insufficient."

Carmen's two friends burst into mocking laughter at this revelation.

"Oh my goodness! I've never seen anyone who can't even afford $5! That's hilarious!"

"So poor yet still buying coffee? How embarrassing!"

Carmen didn't laugh. Thinking about how this pauper had once been engaged to her brother made her feel utterly humiliated.

Seeing Carmen's dark expression made her friends stop laughing immediately.

Aylin's face turned cold. There was no way she had no money in her bank account. The only explanation was that her phone had been hacked by Torpedo, an enemy hacker who knew her true identity.

The clerk kindly suggested, "Maybe try using cash?"

Before Aylin could respond, one of Carmen's friends chimed in sarcastically. "Just leave already if you're so broke! Stop embarrassing yourself!"

"Aylin!" Xavier's voice suddenly called from behind them all.

Everyone turned around as Xavier approached. Carmen looked stunned.

Xavier walked over to Aylin and asked what was wrong.

"Help me pay for my coffee. Something's wrong with my bank card," Aylin said bluntly.

"Sure." Xavier immediately pulled out his card and paid for it.

One of Carmen's friends muttered under her breath, "It's obvious she has no money. she really knows how to put on a front!"

Xavier shot her a sharp look and coldly asked, "What does that have to do with you?"

The girl jumped back in fright before hiding behind Carmen without another word.

Xavier picked up Aylin's coffee for her and looked at her, his voice immediately softening. "Let's go."

The two of them left the coffee shop together.

Carmen watched, puzzled. Hadn't Xavier completely ignored Aylin before? What was going on? Were they back together?

It made sense, though. That girl was in such a dire situation. Of course, she'd seek out Xavier to reconcile. How shameless!

On the tree-lined street, Xavier furrowed his brow in confusion. "What's going on with you? Did you really spend all your money after buying the house? Do you need me to lend you some?"

He knew Aylin was a hacker and usually made a decent income. She even bought a place in the city center, in a neighborhood he had recommended.

Aylin sighed, feeling frustrated, "My phone is acting up. I got hacked by a jerk."

"Is it that rival you mentioned before?"

"Exactly!" Aylin gritted her teeth. "Just wait and see how I'm going to deal with him!"

Xavier chuckled, "So where are you headed now?"

"To get my phone fixed."

"Let's go. I'll go with you."
