I Become the Pearl of the Family After Our Marriage - Aylin

Aylin held the card, raising an eyebrow slightly. Joaquin must think she was poor.

She turned to him and suddenly said, "Do you remember I gave you a check some time ago, but you returned it to me? Do you think I can't even afford a cup of coffee?"

Joaquin raised an eyebrow at the mention of that check, his expression meaningful.

Aylin felt slightly embarrassed. She didn't bring it up on purpose, just to prove she had money.

Clearing her throat, she pushed the card back into his hand and said seriously, "I have savings and income. I really don't need your card."

After a brief silence, Joaquin spoke again, "This has nothing to do with whether you have money or not. I said you are now Mrs. Beckham. You can spend my money freely."

Aylin replied, "But it's not real."

"My promise is real, and you don't need to worry about anything." With that, Joaquin stuffed the card into her bag and zipped it up. "Don't return it again."

Aylin said nothing and didn't refuse further, but she wouldn't use his card.

Their two-year fake marriage was her promise to Joaquin. She could live in his house but couldn't accept his money. Otherwise, it would change the nature of their

agreement.

Suddenly, the phone rang. Joaquin glanced at it before answering.

Whatever was said on the other end made his expression change slightly. "Got it." He hung up and immediately instructed, "Gary, head back to Herdington Manor."

"Yes." Gary didn't ask further and promptly changed the route.

Aylin glanced at Joaquin but said nothing. She knew Rosewood Point wouldn't be his only residence.

Half an hour later, the car drove into a massive estate.

Aylin admired the beautiful scenery outside the window, a garden planted with various rare flowers and plants. She couldn't help but marvel at how wealthy Faypine's top family was.

The car continued through the estate for another ten minutes before stopping in front of a five-story building.

A man and a woman with striking appearances stood outside and immediately approached as they got out of the car.

The door opened, and Joaquin and Aylin stepped out.

The two greeted simultaneously, "Mr. Beckham." They then looked at Aylin.

Joaquin introduced directly, "This is Aylin, my wife."

After a slight pause, they nodded and greeted Aylin, "Mrs. Beckham."

Joaquin asked as he walked towards the building, "What's going on?"

The man replied, "Someone attacked our internal network. We have repelled them but haven't tracked who it was yet."

"Any losses?"

"None discovered so far."

Joaquin's eyes sharpened. "What do you mean by 'none discovered'?"

Dillan Stoddart tensed up immediately and responded, "I'll go confirm again right away."

Kira Tindall added, "Mr. Beckham, there's something else you should see first."

The three quickened their pace forward.

Aylin and Gary lagged slightly behind. Aylin asked softly, "Gary, who are they?"

"Mrs. Beckham, they are Dillan and Kira, Mr. Beckham's subordinates. They've been with him since childhood and mainly handle matters here."

Aylin looked at him sideways. "You handle things for the corporation?"

Gary nodded. "Yes."

"Are you familiar with them?"

"Not particularly close but acquainted enough. They're hackers. We often need them for intel. Dillan was the one who did background checks on you initially."

Aylin nodded in understanding.

So this was where Joaquin grew up. It was his true home.

Dillan and Kira grew up with him as subordinates but also like family, guarding his home.

Rosewood Point was just a house for him.

Aylin suddenly stopped in front of the glass doors of the first-floor hall. Seeing this, Gary asked, "Why did you stop, Madam?"

"They're going to talk about something confidential. It's not appropriate for me to go in. I'll wait outside."

Already inside the hall, Joaquin stopped abruptly and looked back at them. "What are you two dawdling for?"

Aylin said, "Since you guys are busy, I won't go in."

Joaquin stared at her. "Come here."

Aylin didn't move. "It's not appropriate for me to go in there."

After all, she was an outsider.

"Gary, please bring Mrs. Beckham over," Joaquin ordered.

Gary immediately said, "Mrs. Beckham, Mr. Beckham wants you to come over. You'd better go in."

Aylin still hesitated.

Gary lowered his voice urgently as he continued, "Mrs. Beckham, please come over. Mr. Beckham has spoken. If I can't bring you over there, I'm done for."

Seeing him so frightened, Aylin stepped into the hall.

The elevator doors opened. Five people entered and ascended slowly to the fifth floor before stopping again as the doors opened once more.

Kira gestured. "Mr. Beckham, Mrs. Beckham."

Joaquin and Aylin exited first with three others following behind.

Moments later, they arrived at a control room filled with top-tier electronic equipment.

Those working at computers stood up respectfully before greeting them, "Mr. Beckham, Mrs. Beckham."

Joaquin approached, looking towards the large screens on the wall and asking, "Any findings?"

Dillan stepped forward. "There's been a leak of core data from our branch in Ormere, but there are no signs that the data center was breached. We suspect there may be an insider involved."

The Beckham family had numerous enterprises across various sectors, but no one knew that Joaquin had a stake in an international private bank, Emerald Bank.

Outside and even within the bank, except for a few high-level executives, nobody was aware that Joaquin was the mastermind behind this international institution.

Aylin was surprised, realizing that the owner of Emerald Bank was actually Joaquin.

Fixated on the screen, Joaquin narrowed his eyes. "Send someone to investigate secretly."

Aylin suddenly spoke up, "Even if there is an insider, there should still be traces left if they accessed the core database."

As soon as she said that, everyone turned to look at her.

Dillan frowned slightly, wearing an expression that clearly said, "What do you know, little girl?" However, out of respect for her status, he didn't voice his thoughts.

Kira didn't show any hostility toward Aylin, simply saying, "We've already looked into it thoroughly, and there are indeed no traces left behind."

Aylin hadn't intended to meddle, but considering that Joaquin had treated her well and given her a black card to spend as she pleased, which she didn't really need, but appreciated the gesture, she decided to offer her help.

After a moment of thought, she looked at Joaquin. "If you trust me, I can give it a try."

At her words, Dillan couldn't hold back any longer. He had always looked down on Aylin, thinking she was unworthy of Joaquin. Now, she was being so naive as to think she could try to investigate the database herself!

Did she even know how to operate it? Did she have any sense of her own abilities?

"Madam, this is a database with the highest level of security, not some ordinary website. It's not something you can handle just because you studied computer science."
