Jazmin winced in pain, her face contorted. Carmen rushed over and slapped Aylin's arm. "You bitch! How dare you lay a hand on my mom? Let her go!"
Aylin shoved her aside, nearly causing Carmen to fall again. This time, Carmen didn't dare act rashly. "Let go of my mom, or our family won't let you off!"
Jazmin's face turned vicious. "Aylin, do you believe I can kick you out of Faypine forever?"
Aylin sneered, "You'd better think about how to protect your position in the Rodway family before using those tactics."
Jazmin laughed mockingly, "What gives you the courage to say such nonsense?"
"Does Mr. Rodway know that you visit clubs to pick up men?" Aylin asked leisurely.
Once, while tracking someone, she ended up at a male model club for wealthy women and unexpectedly found Jazmin there.
Jazmin's expression changed slightly as she heard this. Carmen was stunned into silence.
Jazmin cursed in anger.
Aylin's gaze was icy. "But your taste is really poor. That man has nothing but muscles."
Other than being young, his looks were quite average.
Jazmin was furious, never expecting Aylin to know this. Did this bitch follow her? Was she trying to use this to threaten her way into the Rodway family?
She said coldly, "Do you think you can threaten me with these baseless accusations? Let me tell you, you'll never set foot in the Rodway family!"
"Rest assured. Even if you begged me on your knees, I wouldn't step into the Rodway family. It disgusts me! And I'll warn you one last time!" Aylin released her and glanced at them. "Stay away from me in the future!"
Jazmin glared at her coldly without speaking.
Aylin withdrew her gaze and turned away coolly.
Carmen snapped out of it. "Mom, what she said... Is it true?"
"Do you believe that nonsense?" Jazmin snapped angrily, "Didn't I tell you not to bother with her? Why are you lowering yourself by getting involved with her?"
Carmen was furious. "I'm just angry that bitch is with Xavier again! What right does she have?"
"She's seeing Xavier?"
"No, just like before, as friends."
"That means Xavier doesn't fancy her at all. Why are you so worried?"
"She doesn't even deserve to be friends with him! That pauper doesn't deserve to stand next to Xavier." Carmen got angrier as she spoke, "This morning, she went to buy coffee and didn't even have $5! Xavier had to pay for her. It was so embarrassing. Just thinking about how she was once engaged to our family makes me feel ashamed and disgusted!"
Jazmin said, "Wasn't it you who spread that around?"
Carmen pursed her lips but did not regret it. She wanted everyone to mock that bitch.
"Mom, make her leave Faypine. With our family's power, it should be easy."
Jazmin's eyes were fierce. "She'll be ousted, but it can't be done by me."
"Why?" Carmen looked suspicious and recalled what Aylin had just said.
"Your grandfather said not to touch her. If we really want her gone, we need him to do it personally."
"Then I'll talk to Grandpa. I don't want to see her anymore!" Carmen said angrily.
"It's either her or me at the University of Faypine!"
Jazmin rubbed her wrist. "Then you go home first. I have something to handle, so I'm not going with you."
"Where are you going?"
"To the office." With that, the woman turned and left.
Aylin entered the classroom.
Yasmine waved from the back row. "Aylin, over here."
Aylin walked over and sat beside her.
Yasmine looked at her hesitantly and whispered, "Aylin, did you run out of money after paying rent? How about I lend you some? I still have some extra living expenses this month."
Hearing this, Aylin wasn't surprised. She knew this would spread.
"No need," Aylin smiled. "I have money. My phone just had some issues."
Thinking she was embarrassed, Yasmine added, "It's okay. Don't be polite to me. You lent me money when I couldn't afford tickets for my idol's concert."
Aylin explained patiently, showing her balance on the phone. "I really have money."
After fixing her phone issue, she wired several thousand dollars into her bank account.
Yasmine stared at the numbers in a daze. Several thousand dollars was not a small amount for an ordinary college student.
She chuckled awkwardly, "Then I'm relieved."
Soon, it was afternoon class dismissal time.
Aylin received a text from Joaquin.
"I'm waiting outside the campus. Let's go back together."
He came to pick her up? Aylin replied immediately, "Okay, I'm coming out."
In the Rolls-Royce by the roadside.
Joaquin leaned back in his seat, waiting for Aylin.
Two girls walked by chatting and laughing.
"I could laugh forever about someone who can't even afford a $5 coffee. It's hilarious."
"What is Aylin thinking? She still has the face to let Xavier pay for her. Isn't she embarrassed?"
"Thick-skinned enough to get what she wants."
Joaquin's face darkened as he heard their conversation.
Gary turned back towards his boss and spoke up, "Mr. Beckham, they seem to be talking about Madam. Does Madam have no money? But didn't she give you a check recently..."
He suddenly stopped talking, knowing it wasn't a pleasant topic.
Joaquin pursed his lips in silence and continued looking outside.
Aylin walked out of school and immediately saw a Rolls-Royce parked by the roadside. It was Joaquin's car. Why was it parked here?
People were passing by constantly.
She walked over as Gary got out and opened the door. "Madam."
Aylin got into the car, casually asking, "Why park here?"
Joaquin didn't answer but handed over a black card. "Take it. No password needed."
Aylin was stunned. "What do you mean?"
Joaquin said, "You are Mrs. Beckham now. My money is yours to spend freely."
She didn't understand why Joaquin suddenly gave her a card, and she didn't need money herself, since she'd just earned quite a bit from him recently. She refused,
"No need. I'm not short on money."
Joaquin looked at her seriously. "Aylin, I know you have pride, but you should know how to use any available resource."
"Pride?" Aylin was puzzled and turned towards Gary. "Gary, what does he mean?"
Gary glanced at his boss before explaining, "Two students passed by just now, saying you couldn't even afford coffee..."
So it had reached Joaquin's ears. No wonder he suddenly offered his card.
Her fists clenched tightly, wanting nothing more than to beat Torpedo to a pulp.
Suppressing her anger, she explained,
"I have money. It's just that my phone had a problem. They're just talking nonsense."
Joaquin directly shoved the card into her hand, saying,
"You better keep that money for yourself." He then instructed Gary,
"Drive."
